Last day

Not a nice day because is the last day … but it is like that. With our teacher we had a check about all we studied in the last 4 weeks and, I think, our level is really good. Some of us will continue and will be nice to join them in the new level course: Tamara, Anastasiia and me we will join in the A1.2 course and we will have also the same teacher, great !!!! We thought to spend some time together at the end of the lesson, we thought to eat and drink something at the Isar but the weather was not really good so we had our “pic-nic” in the classroom, it was really funny :-)

So, see you soonnnnnn :-)

Near the end of the course

The course is near to the end and we are a little bit sad about that. We are from different countries and we are different but in the classroom the atmosphere was really easy and relaxed, we had fun and we enjoied a lot.

In 4 weeks we learned a lot, really, we can use “our” german for buying food, for asking and give informations, we can go to the restaurants and museum or cinema, we can take public transport, we can introduce ourselfes and have a conversation and so on … we can “survive” and also enjoy our stay in Germany :-)

Mein Kuchen

Yesterday we studied a lot regarding food and beverage, we need to survive :-), actually I knew many words ’cause I love cooking and eating too as well drinking, mostly wine and beer. In my opinion that is a great subject, helps a lot the conversation too. Everybody needs to eat and everyone goes to a Pizzeria or a Restaurant, especially when you are in another country like us, and to know how to ask for the food you like without misunderstanding is absoluetly necessary !!!
One more “problem” to solve: to know which is the right beer for you …. so many and sooooo good !!!For homework we had to write a recipe and i thought could be nice to prepare it also, so during the coffe-break there was also the “Kuchen” I cooked, sehr lecker !!!

Multi-cultural people

Munich is a multicultural city, people from all over the world live you and also many tourist visit the town during all the year (not only for the Oktoberfest).

That’s give to Munich an interational status, if you come from the other side of the world, for tourism or living here, be sure, you can find what you need coming form your own country.

There are markets specialized in asian food, or african or from every part of Europe as weel as restaurants or shops selling different kind of clothes.

I think people from other countries are living here in a good level of tollerance.

I can say that Munich is a modern city but thigtly traditional at the same time, in the street and not in special days for special events, it’s easy to meet people of any age wearing their traditional dress … AMAZING !!!

Munich is a wonderful town

Studying and leaving in Munich is a great experience, about learning german I’m sure it will be really usefull for my future (job and travel) and Munich is a wonderful town where to live.

I especially love the parks, many, clean, and big … love going to the Isar for a sunbath with a beer and my homeworks, yes, i often go to the Isar and I do my homeworks there … so, I enjoy my spare time and I do something to be a good student at the same time :-).

What I also like is going around and, always, i found something interesting to see. I walk for kilometers around the city and when i am tired, be sure a pank in a park is waiting for me :-).

Historical buildings are great, one is the Rathaus with the “Glockenspiel” a carillon playing three times every day, the colour of the building is gray and it’s fantastic the result they got putting hundreds of pink geranium in the windows, amazing !

To have the best view of the Rathaus and to all the town i suggest to go up the Saint Peter Tower, you will be exhausted but happy :-)

Free online German course

The DeutschAkademie gives a very good instrument to check and practice your german and … it is for free.

According with your course level you can practice your german lessons on internet, there is a Forum and, if you need, teachers can answer your questions.

Grammar, excercises, listening in an interactive way … the online course is, for sure, a great supplement for the german course.

Here you find the online course:

Enjoy :-)

I started to practice my German

Last day of the second week: now, for sure, we are able to “talk” german, I mean, simply conversations and simply questions but it is much more than before.

I really started to practice my german during my everyday life, before, I was using only my english but now I can and I want make questions in german and give the correct answers too, that’s great! :-)

Many new words, verbs and adjectives and we started to use the Akkusativ … In german it’s so important to know the article of the nouns.

Second week at DeutschAkademie

About my collegues, young and well motivated … this is the second week and we start to know each better, during our break we like to drink a coffe together and talk about the reason why we started to study german, something about where we live in Munich and what we like doing in the spare time.

Our cours finish at 18,00 so everyone of us runs to home or to buy food for the dinner, but i am sure we will find the time to do something togheter, probably to drink a beer :-) in a beer garden.

My class mates

Today I want to talk about my collegues, we are ten people (classes are never crowded) coming from Europe mostly but from Asia too:

we are two from Italy, one from England, one form Slovenia, one from Croatia, one from Russia, two girls form China, one from Columbia and one from India. The age goes from 18 to 40 … but not me: I’m the oldest … I’m 50 (with a young soul … believe me ;-)

The reason why the are studying german for most of them is concerning the job, many of them want to try to find a job or a better job in Germany, some they still have a job in their own countries and to improve their status they need to speack german also.

Sahana, coming from Bangalore in India, has the husbund working in Munich for a big company and she want to join him and she will look also for a job.

Florence, from New Caste in England, has a german boyfriend living in Munich and because she wants a future with him she will move to Munich soon.

All of them are nice and friendly, I like really much them.

Main reasons for studying at DeutschAkademie

About Deutschakademie: First of all I want to tell you why I decided for the Deutchakademie, the main reason, I am honest, is the price.

I compered their prices with other schools price and The price of the Akademie are really competitive, but, of course, i had a look of reviews of the school … All the reviews are really good and they talk about the quality, high level.

After 10 days of my course I can say the same, the quality is really high and I am happy about my choice. I find the way they teach really fluent and direct, easy for beginners like me, in less than two weeks I am able to have a simply conversation :-)

I decided to continue studing german in September.

Our teacher is young but for sure she knows how to teach, she is friendly and polite.
