El domingo, después de tanto bailar, mi anfitrión bávaro decidió que necesitábamos “recuperar energía” y me invitó a un lugar histórico y  hermoso en Moosach, para cenar comida típica de Bavaria: “Alter Wirt ” . Este restaurant abrió sus puertas en 1442 !

On Sunday, after so much dancing, my Bavarian host decided that we needed to “regain energy” and invited me to a historic and beautiful place in Moosach, for dinner typical Bavarian food: “Alter Wirt ” . This restaurant opened its doors in 1442 !

Con el marco de su decoración de Navidad, la media luz que filtra a través de un cielorraso de chops y música folk acompañando , disfrutamos DELICIOSOS platos típicos de Bavaria. Señores: no se pierdan una cena típica muy disfrutable !

With the frame of its Christmas decoration, the soft light that filters through a ceiling of chops and folk music sounding around, we enjoy DELICIOUS typical dishes of Bavaria. People: do not miss a typical dinner very enjoyable !

El sábado,  junto con mi anfitrión bávaro, asistimos a un concierto y baile (se llama “milonga”) que se realizó en un hermoso e histórico lugar de München :Künstlerhaus

With my Bavarian host, we attended a concert and dance (called “milonga”) which took place in a beautiful and historic place in Munich :Künstlerhaus, on Saturday

Es muy interesante comprobar que hoy, como ayer, se replica la experiencia de integración a través del tango…  hubo maestros de baile de Buenos Aires  pero también de Austria, de Alemania…DJ de Montenegro, los invitados vinieron de distintos países de  Europa central  -principalmente-  y un cuarteto excelente…de Polonia !!!!!!

It is very interesting to see that today, as yesterday, the experience of integration through tango is replicated… there were dance masters from Buenos Aires but also from Austria, Germany… DJ from Montenegro, the guests came from different countries of Central Europe -mainly- and an excellent quartet… from Poland!!!!!!

Los musicos de “Bando Negro” ejecutaron divinamente a Piazzola y luego nos pusieron a bailar con compositores tradicionales del tango (Pugliese, D’arienzo, Troilo…) . Nos divertimos tanto que el final de la fiesta  llegó cuando  la pista aún continuaba  llena de invitados que no paraban de bailar !

The musicians of “Bando Negro” performed Piazzola divinely and then they asked us to dance with traditional tango composers (Pugliese, D’arienzo, Troilo…). We had so much fun that the end of the party came when the dance floor was still full of guests who didn’t stop dancing!

Al comienzo del blog, comenté que venía de Buenos Aires-Argentina- y que  traía entre mis costumbres el tango. El tango, (música y baile) es típico de Buenos Aires y debido a  que su origen y desarrollo es el resultado de una construcción social histórica -que lo convierten en un producto cultural único- fué declarado patrimonio de la humanidad. El tango es el resultado cultural de la integración de la inmigración que recibió Argentina a partir de mediados del siglo XIX.

At the beginning of the blog, I commented that I came from Buenos Aires-Argentina- and that I had tango among my customs. The tango (music and dance) is typical of Buenos Aires and because its origin and development is the result of a historical social construction -which make it a unique cultural product- it was declared patrimony of humanity. Tango is the cultural result of the integration of immigration that Argentina received from the middle of the 19th century.

Todos los miércoles, después de mi clase de alemán, camino por Sonnenstrasse hasta Müllerstr. y luego por Hans Sachsstr hasta llegar al #6. Allí, voy a disfrutar, igual que en Buenos Aires, una de mis costumbres: el tango. Es una alegría encontrarme con personas de distintos países y de distintas  edades pero sin embargo  unidas por compartir idéntico gusto, la misma pasión por bailar tango, aquí en München !. La verdad es que las fotos pueden contar muy poco acerca de bailar tango…no resultan descriptivas en este caso. Para entender lo divertido , desafiante y apasionante que puede resultar este baile, es necesario pasar por la experiencia de tanguear. Sugerencia: si tu hobby es bailar, no te pierdas esta oportunidad de probarlo !

Every Wednesday, after my German class, I walk along Sonnenstrasse to Müllerstr. and then through Hans Sachsstr until I reach #6. There, I’m going to enjoy, just like in Buenos Aires, one of my customs: tango. It is a joy to meet people from different countries and of different ages but nevertheless united by sharing the same taste, the same passion for dancing tango, here in München! The truth is that the photos can tell very little about dancing tango…they are not descriptive in this case. To understand how fun, challenging and exciting this dance can be, it is necessary to go through the tanguear experience. Suggestion: if your hobby is dancing, don’t miss this opportunity to try it !

Creo que es justo que muestre mi lugar cotidiano recurrente. Todos los días, por la noche, camino de ida y de regreso de DeutschAkademie por SBahn “Stachus” o Karlplatz. Me gustan sus amplios pasillos y espacios de distribución  impecablemente señalizados.

I think it’s only fair that I give space to my recurring everyday place. Every day, at night, on the way to and from Deutsch Akademie by SBahn “Stachus” or Karlplatz. I like its wide corridors and impeccably marked distribution spaces.

En los corredores hay lugares para comer y tiendas para comprar de todo…por favor, tengan cuidado y tomen sus recaudos: en este momento, las vidrieras se han vuelto peligrosas: ostentan una variedad infinita de deliciosos chocolates !

There are places to eat and shops to buy everything in the corridors… please be careful and take care: at this moment, the showcases have become dangerous: they display an infinite variety of delicious chocolates !

Estábamos caminando por una callejuela del cementerio y notamos que …no estábamos sólos… se movían rápido a nuestro alrededor…nos estaban siguiendo ! Ardillas.

We were walking down a cemetery alley and we noticed that …we were not alone…they were moving fast around us…they were following us! Squirrels.

En Buenos Aires, Argentina, el país del que vengo, no hay ardillas. Así que para mí fué gran novedad . Sobre todo, porque creí que las ardillas son tímidas: nada de eso ! Estas amiguitas se aproximaron, me husmearon e intentaron… treparme por la pierna sujetándose de mi pantalón ! 

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, the country I come from, there are no squirrels. So for me it was great news. Above all, because I thought squirrels were shy: none of that! These little friends approached me, sniffed at me and tried… climbing up my leg holding on to my pants!

Luego de salir de la Oficina de Empleo, caminamos hasta un pequeño e histórico cementerio ubicado en el centro de München. Allí encontré tumbas de personas que vivieron en el siglo 16 ! …

After leaving the Employment Office, we walk to a small, historic cemetery in the centre of Munich. There I found graves of people who lived in the 16th century!

Hola ! Esta semana debí hacer trámites en la Oficina de Empleo. Tengo la esperanza que puedan ayudarme a conseguir un primer trabajo en München,  en el que no se requiera alemán (que es la lengua que aprendo ) ya que por el momento sólo cuento con mi lengua materna (español) e inglés.

Hello! This week I had to do some paperwork at the Employment Büro. I hope they can help me to get a first job in Munich, in which German is not required (which is the language I learn) because at the moment I only have my mother tongue (Spanish) and English.
