i do not understand why this is a correct answer, can you explain me this?

Erklärung:
Hi!
Wie ist die Satzstellung in einem Satz mit Modalverb?
A correct german sentence has minimum two pieces: a verb and a noun/a pronoun
So, first you have to look, where your verb is. In this sentence there is "möchte". In a sentence with a "." the verb is always on the second position. So now it looks like this:
... möchte ... ... ... ... ...
The next step is to find out, how your noun or pronoun has to be. The verb tells you those things: "möchte" has the ending "-e". A singular-noun could have "-e", but also the pronoun "ich". In our sentence there is "ich". Because there are no adverbs of time or location (which could take the first position in the sentence), we put "ich" on first position - it´s the subject of the sentence. No it looks like this:
Ich möchte ... ... ... ... ...
The verb "möchten" needs an object in akkusative - do wo find one? Yes, we do! It´s "Herd" with its undefined article "einen" and the adjective "praktischen" (the adjective-ending "-en" stands here for akkusative). Together it looks like this:
Ich möchte ... ... einen praktischen Herd.
This looks very good! But, whats about "auch" and "so"? Both of them have to be in front of "einen praktischen Herd", because they prepare you, what you want to say. "Auch" is like "also" and "so" is like "such" in english, so you can´t put them in the end of the sentence.
I hope, I could help you.
Nice greetings, Anna
